Privacy policy

The data controller for this website is a natural person domiciled in Spain. DataMockSeed is a personal project with no corporate structure. If you have any questions about this policy, you can write to cbsumastre@gmail.com.

DataMockSeed has no accounts, no contact forms, and no fields in which to enter your own personal data. On the website, all generators run in your browser: generating DNIs (Spanish national ID numbers), IBANs, phone numbers, or identities sends nothing to any server.

The validator works the same way: the values you paste to verify their check digit are processed locally and never leave your device.

The public API (/api/v1/…), intended for tests and CI/CD, does process the parameters you send to it (data type, quantity, seed, schema) on the server in order to generate the response: that is its purpose, as there is no way to expose an endpoint without receiving the request. It does not store those parameters or the generated responses. To limit abuse (requests per minute), it keeps an in-memory counter linked to your IP address; this counter is ephemeral, exists only for the lifetime of the server process, and is never persisted anywhere.

All other processing is carried out automatically by our hosting provider when serving the website and handling API requests, as described in the Processors and transfers section.

Everything DataMockSeed generates is fictitious: it is computed by a pseudorandom number generator from a seed and does not come from databases of real people. Any resemblance to a real person, account, or entity is purely coincidental. Generated email addresses always use reserved example domains (@example.com and similar).

DataMockSeed does not use cookies of any kind: no first-party, third-party, or analytics cookies.

We measure aggregate site usage with Vercel Web Analytics (page views, referrers, country) and real-world loading performance with Vercel Speed Insights. Neither of them uses cookies or persistent identifiers: Web Analytics generates a hash, rotated daily, from the IP address and other request data, which does not allow any user to be identified or tracked across visits. The data you generate and the values you enter in the validator are not sent; only the visited path and technical request metadata are.

When installed as a PWA, the service worker stores the website’s static files (HTML, CSS, JS) in a local cache so that it works offline. This cache contains no personal data, only the application’s own files. You can clear it from your browser’s site storage settings or by uninstalling the PWA.

Fonts are self-hosted and served from this domain (next/font): no requests are made to Google Fonts or to any other third-party service.

Since there are no accounts or forms, the only third party involved is the website’s hosting provider. Like any server, it logs technical data about each request (IP address, user agent, date) in order to operate and protect the service.

Vercel acts as a data processor with respect to that technical data. If the server handling the request is located outside the EU, the transfer is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

The hosting provider’s technical logs are kept for as long as necessary to operate and protect the service, in accordance with Vercel Inc.’s log retention policy. DataMockSeed does not combine those logs with any other data to identify users.

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing, and data portability by writing to cbsumastre@gmail.com. Since DataMockSeed does not process its users’ personal data beyond the hosting provider’s technical logs, in practice this is usually limited to telling you what is logged and why.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, AEPD), www.aepd.es/en, if you believe that your rights have not been properly addressed.
