A CCC (Spanish 20-digit bank account number) is valid if its 9th and 10th digits match the calculated checks: the first with mod 11 over the bank and branch; the second with mod 11 over the 10 account digits. How many digits does a CCC bank account have?
20 digits: 4 for the bank, 4 for the branch, 2 check digits and 10 for the account number.
Why does the CCC have 2 check digits instead of 1?
Because they are calculated separately: one protects the bank and branch, and the other protects the account number.
Does the CCC validator recognize the bank?
